Oddball 2015 2016 DVD and Blu ray Release Date is a formulaic Australian kids’ movie, where a child’s intelligence and bravery saves the day as she uses her grandfather and other adults like puppets to save a colony of endangered fairy penguins. It is actually based on a true event where two dogs to this day now live on a rocky island to protect the penguins from an introduced pest predator (the fox) along the Southern coastline of Australia, during the time of year penguins nest there, which was the idea of a chicken farmer and his friend after they noticed how affective this breed of dog keeps the foxes away from their chickens. The only characters from the true tale are Oddball (who was one of the two initial dogs during the trial) and the chicken farmer Swampy Marsh (played by Shane Jacobson). Read more.
